Job summary

Southend Pharmacy is a modern 503A compounding pharmacy in Houston seeking a detail-oriented Provider Service Specialist. You will verify prescriber licensure, credentials, and regulatory eligibility; review prescriptions prior to production; and ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including controlled substances and telehealth requirements.

This is a full-time, onsite role based at 4802 North Sam Houston Parkway West, Suite 100, Houston, TX 77086.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year pharmacy technician experience and 3 years prescriber verification experience.
• Active pharmacy technician license and national certification (PTCB or NHA).
• Knowledge of FDA/DEA/HIPAA and state board regulations.
• Experience verifying prescriber credentials and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with a Pharmacy Management System and Excel for tracking.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriber licensure, credentials, and regulatory eligibility.
• Review prescriptions prior to production for compliance.
• Ensure prescriptions originate from legally authorized prescribers.
• Monitor DEA status and controlled substance compliance.
• Track license/credential expirations and renewals.
• Coordinate with prescribers and staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare compliance reports for internal stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to sales, intake, and compliance teams on requirements.
