Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Manager Provider Compensation to lead the team in developing, implementing, administering, and reviewing provider compensation programs for the organization with a substantial financial scope.

You will supervise staff daily, ensure accurate processes for compensation modeling, FMV reviews, and compliant payments, while partnering with legal, contracting, and senior leadership on strategic initiatives and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field with five years of related experience.
• At least three years in a supervisory or management role.
• Master's degree preferred in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversees provider compensation operations, ensuring timely payroll, accounting, financial reporting, compensation calculations, wRVU data, and value-based metrics.
• Leads compensation reporting, reconciliation, and modeling, including quarterly resets, reconciliations, forecasting, budgeting and analysis.
• Ensures data accuracy and quality, overseeing wRVU validation, non-wRVU activity tracking, payroll audits, benchmarking and variance resolution.
• Manages provider compensation workflows and systems, coordinating setup with Accounting and Recruitment, overseeing time tracking and onboarding issues.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures, including contract terms and fair market value standards; escalates risks.
• Leads and develops the Provider Compensation team with training, mentoring and performance management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
