Job summary

Motor City Metal Fab in Southeast Michigan is seeking an experienced welder to produce precise, one-off and low-volume assemblies. You’ll read CAD prints, interpret weld symbols and GD&T, and lay out parts for TIG on aluminum and MIG on steel subframes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of MIG/TIG welding experience.
• Fluency reading blueprints and weld symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and solve fabrication challenges.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret prints, weld symbols, and GD&T to map out approach.
• Execute high-quality MIG and TIG welds on steel, stainless, and aluminum.
• Cut, fit, tack, weld, and finish to precise tolerances with self-inspection.
• Partner with engineering and machining to refine designs and boost manufacturability.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
