Job summary

Flagpoles Etc Inc in Wixom, Michigan is seeking an experienced welder to perform TIG welding on aluminum and MIG welding on steel. You'll read measurements, cut, fit, assemble, and finish components to exact specifications while maintaining a safe, organized shop and supporting warehouse tasks as needed.

The role requires hands-on welding expertise, strong aluminum TIG skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on TIG and MIG welding experience.
• Strong aluminum TIG-welding skills.
• Experience welding steel.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent, structurally sound welds.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Comfortable using common welding, cutting, grinding, and shop tools.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow directions.
• Willingness to perform warehouse and general shop duties when needed.
• Able to work independently while also being a reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on aluminum components.
• Perform MIG welding on steel components.
• Read measurements and follow fabrication specifications.
• Cut, fit, assemble, and finish materials accurately.
• Inspect completed welds for strength, appearance, and quality.
• Assist with general fabrication projects.
• Maintain an organized and safe welding and work area.
• Help with warehouse duties when needed.
• Assist with receiving materials and unloading trucks.
• Move, organize, and stage products and materials.
• Support production, shipping, and other departments as needed.
