Job summary

Technique is seeking a Prototype Welding Technician to join our team at our Jackson, Michigan facility. You will set up and operate MIG/TIG welders on stainless and carbon steel, and support QA with layouts and inspections.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of industrial welding experience, AWS Certification, and reading blueprints with GD&T. You will work with robotic welders, CMM reports, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years welding experience in an industrial setting.
AWS Certification preferred; read blueprints with GD&T notation.
Experience with prototype and fabrication welding; robotic welders and CMM reports valued.
Strong independence and ability to contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate welding equipment including GTAW & GMAW on stainless and carbon steel.
Identify materials and manage fixtures; read weld symbols.
Operate Projection Welder and adjust settings as needed.
Perform 1st piece layouts with basic GD&T understanding.
