Job summary

Intellibee is seeking a hands-on Prototype Weld Supervisor to lead the 2nd shift welding and fabrication team in Fair Haven. You will supervise a small crew while actively welding prototype components for automotive, defense, and other advanced manufacturing programs.

You will oversee daily shop operations, ensure safety and quality, and drive on-time delivery. Strong leadership, welding expertise, and experience with blueprints are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Prototype/low-volume manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with fabrication equipment (grinders, saws, layout tools).
• Strong troubleshooting and prototype problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of welders and fabricators on the 2nd shift.
• Assign and prioritize work based on prototype schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure weldments are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Approve time records and manage attendance using Plex ERP.
• Coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
