Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced fabricator-welder to build low-volume prototype hardware for national security programs. You will own manufacturing from concept to completion, interpreting CAD drawings and resolving fit-up and manufacturability challenges on the shop floor.

The role requires reading complex drawings, welding diverse metals, and delivering high-quality assemblies for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on metal fabrication and welding in prototype, R&D, or low-volume production.
Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and forming with precise tolerance control.
Able to read complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
Proficiency in basic conventional machining (manual mill/lathe) to +/- 0.005 inches.
Adaptable, problem-solver with dynamic R&D environments.
Strong shop math and mechanical reasoning for fabrication problems.
Agile and mission-driven with shifting priorities.
Direct communicator with feedback to engineering on manufacturability.
Team-oriented and willing to mentor peers.

Responsibilities

Review work orders and plan efficient builds for timely delivery.
Fabricate small to large assemblies using welding, machining and forming processes.
Own R&D tasks end-to-end with limited oversight.
Design and build weld fixtures for precise tolerances on complex weldments.
Perform quality checks and flag issues before integration.
Provide feedback to design engineers on manufacturability improvements.
Maintain shop safety and OSHA standards.
