Job summary

GTI Fabrication is seeking a Working Lead on the 2nd Shift to act as the subject matter expert and daily contact for the team. You will interface with leadership on project status and advocate for team needs.

The role demands strong welding/fabrication supervision, safety compliance, and the ability to drive efficiency across department processes. Responsibilities include enforcing approved manufacturing methods, setting team goals, guiding subordinates, and coordinating with QA to maintain

Qualifications

• Two to four years related welding/fabrication experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating direct reports.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements department processes, policies, and procedures.
• Interfaces with QA manager to ensure final quality and develop better methods.
• Ensures manufacturing methodology is followed.
• Develops goals to improve plant performance and success.
• Performs the physical work of the department.
• Monitors machine capacity and optimizes utilization.
• Enforces safety rules and investigates accidents.
• Directs employees and oversees performance.
• Keeps leadership informed on team activities and needs.
