Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a hands-on prototype machinist to assemble, inspect, and rework non-deliverable hardware, tooling and test equipment in a shop environment with emphasis on safety.

You will learn to operate vertical mills and lathes, read engineering drawings, and support tooling repair and test fixtures using Jira. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain clearance are required.

This role offers a stable onsite schedule with opportunities to contribute to critical defense programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and use of hand tools.
• Experience operating basic hand tools and inspection equipment for precision work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word.
• High school diploma or GED.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented, collaborative work ethic.
• Physical ability to lift heavy tooling and work overhead.

Responsibilities
