RTX is seeking a hands-on shop technician to assemble, inspect and repair non-deliverable hardware and tooling. You will support prototype and production activities, track job status in Jira, and assist with test fixtures and troubleshooting in a safety-focused shop environment.

The role requires metal fabrication knowledge, hand-tool proficiency, and strong communication skills. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility, with onsite work in a manufacturing setting.

What You Will Do

• Be responsible for prototype assembly, inspection and rework/repair of non-deliverable hardware, special tooling and special test equipment.
• Prototype/production support will require precision part inspection/measurement equipment, as well as other standard machine shop tools and equipment.
• Work is done in a shop environment with safety being key.
• Updating and tracking shop job statuses using the Jira system, performing Special Tooling repair and maintenance as well as supporting test fixture assembly and troubleshooting as required.

What You Will Learn

• Ability to learn to use manual machines, such as a vertical mill and lathe, under supervision of an experienced machinist
• Ability to read and interpret assembly and tooling engineering drawings
• Ability to execute work while following all Raytheon shop safety procedures
• Ability to learn our tooling re-work and repair processes

Qualifications You Must Have

• Knowledge and experience in metal fabrication processes and utilization of hand tools
• Demonstrated experience in operating simple hand tools and inspection equipment to meet precision machining and measurement requirements
• Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Window, Excel and Word
• Highschool diploma or GED
• U.S. Citizenship
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative work ethic to work with others in a team environment
• Physical ability to lift heavy tooling, work with hands positioned above head, and ability to use ladders and step stools

Qualifications We Prefer

• Ability to receive Secret clearance
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed to support the factory

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 41,400 USD - 72,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
