Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Product Development Engineering Intern for the North America division, based in the Lawrence, KS area. You will assist in coordinating all aspects of projects aimed at improving proprietary products or procuring new tooling and business opportunities.

Local candidates are preferred. As part of the Product Development team, you will support multidisciplinary teams, assist in tooling design/modifications, perform cost analyses, and help develop QA/testing programs to ensure

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student pursuing an Engineering degree, preferably at sophomore/junior/senior level.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and assertive individual.

Responsibilities

• Assist Product Development Engineer/Manager in coordinating project activities.
• Organize production/development trials and interact with multidisciplinary teams.
• Obtain quotes from vendors for tooling or modifications.
• Assist in determining costs on projects and maintain/update drawings and tooling prints.
• Create models/prototypes of parts for customers.
• Support engineers in designing prototype tooling and evaluating parts.
