Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, Ohio seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Test and Prototype Engineering Service groups. You will plan, procure, test, validate and deliver prototype products while meeting cost, timing and specification targets.

You will develop testing strategies, coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers and project management teams. A strong automotive background and leadership is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering/related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years in product development, testing, prototype management or engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T and verify tolerance compliance.
• Experience in automotive/manufacturing environments with prototyping.
• Strong relationship-building across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Prototype and Test Engineering groups, prioritizing schedules and budgets.
• Develop testing strategies, methods, and validation plans with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate tooling, fixtures, and special parts for prototypes.
• Oversee budget planning and spend control within prototype/test activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing methods and processes.
• Prepare technical reports and present results to leadership.
