Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, Ohio seeks an Engineering Manager for Test and Prototype Engineering. You will lead the Prototype and Test groups, plan and execute testing strategies, and coordinate across engineering, manufacturing and QA to ensure on-time delivery of prototype products.

You will manage budgets, schedule resources, and drive continuous improvements in testing methodologies. Strong GD&T interpretation and automotive/manufacturing background are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 5-10 years of experience in product development, testing, prototype management, or engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T and verify measurements.
• Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments with assembly, disassembly, and machinery.
• Experience with prototype manufacturing methods (machining, welding, grinding, painting) and related software knowledge.
• Understanding of material properties and manufacturing of steel, aluminum, plastics, etc.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Prototype and Test teams to meet design requirements and quality standards.
• Plan, procure, test, validate, and deliver prototype products on schedule.
• Develop testing/prototype strategies and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Provide technical leadership and maintain customer focus in testing.
• Prepare technical reports and present results to leadership and customers.
• Analyze test data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
