Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, OH, seeks a Technology and Innovation Product Engineer to drive concept and technology development for automotive shock absorber and strut tech from idea to design validation.

You will coordinate prototype fabrication, testing, design reviews, and cross-functional teams, while applying root cause analysis and ensuring safety and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience in automotive design for manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of materials, tolerances, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop shock absorber and strut designs from concept to design validation.
• Analyze specifications to set design targets for components and technologies.
• Coordinate prototype fabrication, installation, and testing.
• Present designs and data at design reviews and meetings.
• Apply root cause analysis to identify and fix issues.
• Ensure safety, manufacturability, and cost targets are met.
