Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager to lead key automotive programs, ensuring robust planning, risk mitigation, and on-schedule delivery.

You will work closely with Sales, Engineering and Operations to manage scope, timelines and budgets while maintaining executive-level communication. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, extensive project management experience, and strong leadership and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent education.
• Extensive automotive/heavy-vehicle industry knowledge and experience.
• Substantial large-scale project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools & techniques.
• Bias to action with a track record of delivering results.
• Experience presenting to executive management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Operations to meet customer expectations.
• Oversee new program launches: define scope, resources, timelines, and deliverables.
• Set program goals and objectives; lead cross-functional teams and meetings.
• Monitor profitability, budgets, costs, and distribute resources accordingly.
• Maintain a clear project plan with milestones and critical paths.
• Track progress against cost and timing objectives; mitigate variances.
• Ensure alignment with strategic initiatives; prepare status reports for execs.
• Coordinate engineering changes through change management with customers.
• Travel to customer, supplier locations and international Bilstein facilities as needed.
