Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, Ohio, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Test and Prototype Engineering Service groups.

You will drive planning, procurement, testing, validation, and delivery of prototype products while ensuring cost, timing, and specification adherence. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and prototype processes, maintaining a strong customer focus throughout product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in product development, testing, prototype management, or engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T and verify measurements.
• Experience in automotive/manufacturing environments with assembly, disassembly, and machinery operation.
• Experience with prototype manufacturing methods (machining, welding, grinding, painting) and related software

Responsibilities

• Lead Prototype team to ensure prototypes meet design reqs and delivery timelines.
• Ensure prototypes comply with engineering specs, regulations, and customer expectations.
• Plan and schedule prototype builds and coordinate with customers for delivery.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders on design, performance, and cost data.
• Lead Test team to meet test specs, cost, and timing requirements.
• Support product launches by achieving validation milestones on schedule.
• Prepare technical reports and present results to leadership and customers.
