Formlabs is seeking an Engineering Technician in Somerville, MA to prototype, assemble, and test next-generation 3D printer components. You will work across engineering to build, test, and validate designs, with on-site requirements five days a week.

Responsibilities include prototyping, machining parts, PCB rework, cabling, and reporting on tests—driving hardware advances for future printer generations.

Formación

• Hands-on DIYer eager to work on state of the art printers.
• Technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret mechanical, electrical, and electronic schematic drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Build and modify prototypes of next generations 3D printers and accessory equipment.
• Fabricate / machine high quality mechanical parts in rapid fashion.
• Perform board level rework on PCB assemblies.
• Create or modify custom electrical cabling.
• Inspect parts via CMM, calipers, micrometers, multimeters.
• Set up and perform engineering tests.
• Create and present various reports.
