Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a Production Engineer – Prototype to support and improve manufacturing processes in the Aftermarket business unit at the Berea Plant.

You will partner with Design Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure production readiness and ongoing optimization of shocks and struts assembly and testing. You will lead process validation activities, analyze data for trends, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost while supporting tooling

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years in manufacturing or production engineering, preferably automotive/automotive components.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, root cause analysis; comfortable with CAD tools and ERP systems.
• Experience in product launches and process validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Prototype manufacturing activities for safe, efficient, high-quality output.
• Lead design reviews to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Drive process validation, PFMEA, control plans, and capability studies; obtain first-piece approvals.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Prototype, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to implement process changes.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and capital project justifications.
