Job summary

Lucid Motors in Newark, California, seeks a Power Electronics Prototype Builds Technician to join our fast-paced engineering team. You will build and validate prototype electrical and mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings and CAD models, supporting rapid development cycles.

You will work with cross-functional teams, perform low-voltage wiring, PCB handling, and subsystem installation, and use Jira to track progress and ensure traceability across prototype builds and engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, PCB handling, connectors, and torque specs.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and electrical test equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Experience supporting prototype manufacturing in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate complex prototype electrical and mechanical assemblies per drawings.
• Manage prototype builds from incoming inspection to validation.
• Perform low-voltage electrical integration, PCB handling, and subsystem installation.
• Diagnose issues and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Use Jira to document progress and maintain traceability across builds and changes.
• Maintain documentation and engineering traceability.
