Job summary

Lucid Motors in Newark, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for High Voltage design. You will lead mechanical packaging, integrate core power electronics, and partner with electrical engineers to optimize performance and manufacturability.

You should have 3–6 years of relevant experience, strong CATIA skills, and a solid grounding in DFMEA/DFM, insulating HV systems, and thermal management for liquid-cooled assemblies.

Qualifications

• Ideally 3–6 years of relevant work experience with strong technical proficiency.
• Experience packaging electromechanical assemblies for thermal, structural, electrical isolation.
• Experience with liquid-cooled power electronics assemblies and HV safety.

Responsibilities

• Own The Design: lead mechanical architecture, packaging, integration, and validation of core power electronics systems.
• Prototype & Test: design, build, and test prototypes and support environmental/physical testing.
• Innovate & Optimize: continuously improve designs for cost, performance, safety, and reliability.
• Collaborate: work with electrical, QA, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams for integration.
• Mentor: provide guidance to junior engineers and lead design reviews.
• Continuously Learn: adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
