Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Prototype Planning Section Leader to guide a team of about 15 prototype planners within the Bike Shop. You will oversee BOM analysis, procurement, material status reports, and ensure schedule adherence across programs.

You will manage staffing, coaching, performance reviews, and cross-functional collaboration, while maintaining inventory controls and driving continuous improvement to meet cost, quality and timing objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with eight years of relevant experience or advanced degree with six years of relevant experience.
• Experience with prototype planning and material procurement.
• Active U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret or higher) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~15 prototype planners and oversee BOM analysis and component purchasing.
• Develop inventory control, plan kitting, and manage program shipments to meet schedules.
• Provide staffing, performance reviews, and career development while ensuring quality and cost objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering stores, procurement, and program management.
