Role Summary

Prototype Engineering Planner – manage developmental engineering hardware to meet customer and internal requirements.

Qualifications – You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Experience with complex processes and tools, including inventory control and material procurement databases.
• Experience performing supplier quoting and interface activities for procurement and supply chain functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. security clearance of Secret or higher.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop accurate work instructions.
• Strong ability to collaborate in a multi‑disciplined, dynamic environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience in a direct customer‑facing role.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings, documentation, and quality standards to develop manufacturing work methodologies, instructions, and illustrations.
• Generate “as‑built” configuration by capturing the build bill of materials (BOM).
• Ensure engineering hardware meets quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and performance.
• Perform BOM analysis, purchase components, and generate material status reports.
• Request components from engineering stores and manage disposition of quality discrepancies and non‑conformances.

Additional Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required; must obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
• Work location: onsite in Tucson, AZ.
• Relocation assistance may be provided based on eligibility.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD annually.
