Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Prototype Engineering Planner to manage developmental hardware across the product lifecycle, collaborating with multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver rapid engineering, fabrication, and prototyping solutions.

This onsite role requires analyzing drawings, generating BOMs, and ensuring quality, cost, and schedule compliance while supporting continuous improvement and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with complex processes and tools, including inventory control and material procurement databases.
• Experience performing supplier quoting and interface activities to support procurement and supply chain functions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings, documentation, and quality standards to develop manufacturing methodologies, instructions, and illustrations.
• Generate and document the as-built configuration by capturing the build BOM.
• Ensure Quality, Cost, and Schedule Compliance.
• Ensure engineering hardware meets quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and performance.
• Perform BOM Analysis and Material Management.
• Conduct BOM analysis, purchase components, and generate material status reports.
• Request components from engineering stores and manage disposition of quality discrepancies and non-conformances.
