Job summary

Vermeer equips customers doing important work around the world. This role involves producing, testing, and operating prototype machinery and electrical components in collaboration with engineers to develop electrical solutions for Vermeer machines.

The candidate should learn new skills, be capable of operating heavy equipment, and have a background in mechanical or technician work. This onsite role travels occasionally and is on first shift on a Vermeer campus.

Qualifications

• Technical training or trade program in a relevant field is preferred.
• 3+ years of mechanical, agricultural, or technician experience or equivalent training.
• Fundamental knowledge to safely operate tools and complete processes.
• Fundamental knowledge in diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Fundamental knowledge of testing procedures for functions and limits.

Responsibilities

• Create prototype and/or new parts and electrical harnesses for existing machine components.
• Perform tests on various machines.
• Assist with machines through production implementation.
• Organize and inspect parts for engineering.
• Document and record test reports, project challenges and changes to machine components.
