Advantage Technical is seeking a Prototype Build Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to coordinate physical mock-ups and prototype builds bridging product design and production. The role involves collaboration with Shop Technicians, CAD Designers, Release Engineers, and development teams.

You will support under-hood, underbody, wind-tunnel, and occupant packaging builds, manage scopes from start to finish, and ensure clear communication across engineering groups throughout each project.

Now Hiring: Prototype Build Engineer

Turn engineering concepts into real-world prototypes. We're hiring a Prototype Build Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI, to coordinate physical mock-up and prototype builds that help bridge the gap between product design and production.

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Pay Rate: $35.01/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day; occasional overtime

Job Duties

• Coordinate prototype and physical mock-up builds from scope through delivery.
• Partner with Shop Technicians, CAD Designers, Release Engineers, and product development teams.
• Support builds involving under-hood, underbody, wind-tunnel, and occupant packaging applications.
• Coordinate projects used for real-world validation and design evaluation.
• Help assess component placement, ergonomics, packaging, and serviceability.
• Maintain communication across engineering and design teams throughout each build.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to coordinate technical engineering projects across multiple teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
