Job summary

Stefanini Group is seeking a Prototype Build Engineer for Auburn Hills, MI on a contract basis. You will support part procurement, prototype design, and vehicle builds across programs.

Responsibilities include leading procurement, creating BOMs, drafting process sheets for build operators, and resolving floor issues impacting quality and timing. Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; 0–5 years' experience encouraged.

We're seeking a Prototype Build Engineer to support part procurement, prototype design, and vehicle build activities across multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead part procurement and resolve supplier issues across multiple programs.
• Provide support for prototype design.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Create process sheets for build operators.
• Resolve build-floor issues affecting quality, engineering design, manufacturing processes, and timing.

Job Requirements Details

Required Skills

• 0–5 years of experience. Recent graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply; candidates with 1–2 years of work experience are preferred.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle build processes.
• Basic knowledge of CATIA V5 and/or NX and Teamcenter.
• Strong leadership, communication, and program management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to prepare presentations and present to all levels of management.

Education Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
