Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking an on-site Design/Physical Mock-Up Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI. This role coordinates builds and projects with shop technicians, CAD designers, and release engineers, overseeing the full lifecycle from scoping to delivery.

The position supports product design office and real-world validation, including ergonomic and packaging considerations. The ideal candidate has an associate degree minimum, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and should be ready for 5-day workweeks

Job Description:

Physical Mock-Up bridges the gap between design and production. We transform ideas into tangible prototypes that allow designers and engineers to visualize, test, and refine the product before production.

This is a design Engineering support position to coordinate builds & projects with Shop Technicians, CAD Designers, and release engineers from all areas of product design & development, along with supporting Product Design Office. We specialize in engineering properties including under-hoods, underbodies, wind-tunnel vehicles and occupant packaging properties for real-world validation, ergonomics, component placement, and serviceability.

This role manages the full lifecycle of those builds, from scoping through delivery.

The engineer bridges the gap between design engineering and production. This is a physical mock-up engineer role.

Education:

• Associate degree minimum & Bachelor Degree preferred.
