Prince-Technology-Solutions-Inc in Detroit, MI seeks a Prototype Technician for 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm). You will build prototype assemblies, interpret blueprints, and perform inspections to achieve 100% First Time Quality.

Data recording and use of various equipment are essential, along with collaboration with engineering, suppliers and customers. Required: a two-year Associate Technical degree or equivalent, and at least 3 years in automotive, aerospace or prototype manufacturing operations.

Qualificações

• Two-year Associate Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive, aerospace or prototype manufacturing operations.
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check.

Responsabilidades

• Build prototype assemblies and subassemblies to engineering requirements with 100% First Time Quality.
• Interpret and understand complex technical documentation such as blueprints and specifications.
• Perform and certify inspections and tests per technical documentation.
• Record builds, data, and maintain inspection documentation in written and electronic forms.
• Utilize computerized equipment (welder, press, robotic, torque, etc.) and various hand tools.
• Drive and navigate material movement equipment safely or be trained to do so.
• Participate in program technical reviews with engineering, suppliers and customers.
• Maintain strong interpersonal communication with management, engineering, suppliers and customers.
• Identify root causes of build issues and propose corrective actions.

Job Description

• Build prototype assemblies and subassemblies to engineering requirements with measurable 100% First Time Quality.
• Interpret and understand complex technical documentation such as blueprints and specifications.
• Perform and certify inspections & tests in accordance with technical documentation.
• Record builds, data, and maintains inspection documentation (written, electronic and photographic).
• Utilize computerized equipment (welder, press, robotic, torque, etc.) and a variety of hand tools to complete assembly and inspection operations.
• Able to drive and navigate industrial material movement equipment in a safe manner or willing to be trained to do so.
• Participate in program technical reviews with engineering, suppliers and customers.
• Strong level of interpersonal / communication skills to work effectively with management, engineering, suppliers and customers.
• High level of problem-solving skills to identify / perform root cause analysis on build issues and offer recommendations for resolution.
• Successfully complete assigned builds and tasks on time to aggressive schedules.
• Able to manually lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Available to work overtime and travel if required.
• Ability to work independently while exhibiting teamwork skills with co-workers and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
