Job summary

Symmetrio is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support proton therapy systems at customer sites in Omaha, NE. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, and documentation with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The role requires a technical background in electrical or mechanical fields and excellent troubleshooting skills for complex equipment. Travel domestically and internationally is required; flexible shifts including nights and weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (or 4–6+ years of relevant technical experience).
• Experience with radiation therapy equipment or proton therapy systems is preferred.
• Strong electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills in complex equipment.
• Experience with instrumentation, control systems, imaging systems, and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, test, and maintain proton therapy systems at customer sites.
• Provide on-site technical support including preventive/corrective maintenance and post-service testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and system interface issues to restore performance.
• Document service interventions and corrective actions in accordance with quality requirements.
