Job summary

IBA in Knoxville, TN is seeking a hands-on Engineer to install, operate and maintain our Proton Therapy System (PTS). You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues, perform maintenance, and support testing during deployments and clinical operations.

You will collaborate with Engineering and R&D, mentor field engineers, train customers, and ensure safe, reliable system performance while advancing competencies through the Oral Board process within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• Experience troubleshooting electronics/electrical systems, mechanical design and repair, and operating large systems.
• Ability to work autonomously on well-defined tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate and maintain the Proton Therapy System (PTS).
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and integrated system issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and participate in system upgrades.
• Support hardware and software testing during deployments and clinical operations.
• Mentor new team members and train customers on system operation.
