Job summary

Helix BioStructures, LLC is seeking a Research Associate to independently execute protein expression, purification, and biophysical characterization workflows for client projects in our Indianapolis lab. The role includes preparing reagents, buffers, and media, analyzing experimental data, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment and documentation.

We value hands-on experience with recombinant protein expression/purification, core wet-lab techniques, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biology, or a related field and 1–5 years of hands-on laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute protein expression, purification, and biophysical characterization workflows for client projects.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and media for assigned experiments.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of procedures and results.
• Provide general lab support including inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Plan and manage protein production workstreams across multiple projects and timelines.
