Job summary

Helix BioStructures, LLC is seeking a Research Associate to independently execute protein expression, purification, and biophysical characterization workflows for client projects in our Indianapolis lab. You will prepare reagents, analyze data, maintain documentation, and support a safe, organized CRO environment.

The successful candidate will manage multiple projects, collaborate with senior scientists, and contribute to advancing structure-based drug discovery, antibody discovery, and protein

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biology, or related field.
• 1–5 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with recombinant protein expression and/or purification.
• Familiarity with core wet-lab techniques (pipetting, buffers, SDS‑PAGE, chromatography).
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and follow established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute protein expression, purification, and biophysical characterization workflows for client projects.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and media; troubleshoot routine issues; analyze and interpret data.
• Maintain detailed documentation and ensure a clean, safe lab environment.
• Manage multiple projects in parallel and communicate results to project managers.
• Collaborate with senior scientists and team members in a fast-paced CRO setting.
