Job summary

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions in West Point, PA, seeks a protein expression and purification specialist to support screening of protein antigens and large-scale purification of recombinant proteins.

The role involves bench work, meticulous record-keeping, SOP adherence and collaboration with protein characterization teams; requires a BS/MS with hands-on FPLC experience and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• BS with 3–5 years or MS with 1–2 years in protein expression and purification of recombinant proteins.
• Experience with affinity-based FPLC purification up to 100 mg.
• Knowledge of SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, Bradford assay, UV-Vis spectroscopy and protein characterization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong attention to SOPs and aseptic technique.
• US work authorization without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare buffers, maintain instruments, track work orders and inventory.
• Sanitize chromatographic columns and record activities precisely.
• Provide hands-on support to the protein expression group as needed.
• Collaborate with the protein characterization group and other teams.
