Job summary

The Department of Health and Human Services in Maine seeks a dedicated professional for the Office of Child & Family Services. You will supervise visits between children and their parents, accompany children in hotel or hospital placements, and transport clients for visits and appointments.

Strong interpersonal and computer skills are essential. Travel within the local district, with occasional mandatory overtime, is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in office and client support work.
• Ability to apply policies and procedures and use independent judgment on complex administrative and direct service activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise visits between children and parents, and transport clients for visits and appointments.
• Make referrals to connect families with needed services.
• Enter documentation into the Child Welfare information system, Katahdin.
• Maintain legal records and serve court paperwork.
