Job summary

Omaha Tribe is seeking a dedicated professional to provide case management for child abuse and neglect, status offenses, and juvenile offender cases under the Omaha Tribal Court. The role includes coordinating court-ordered evaluations, completing initial assessments, and establishing safety plans based on family needs identified from assessments.

The position will start as a Protection and Safety Trainee and may be promoted after required training and probation.

Qualifications

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all cases and program information.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Flexibility to manage multiple cases and coordinate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake calls and reports of child abuse/neglect.
• Complete initial assessments on allegations of child abuse/neglect.
• Assess risk and develop risk assessment findings.
• Coordinate with law enforcement for investigations.
• Initiate court involvement for child abuse/neglect and juvenile cases.
• Develop, implement and evaluate treatment plans.
• Prepare case plans and court reports; maintain communication with courts.
• Attend court hearings to testify and participate in family assessments.
