Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group seeks an experienced P&C Technician to install, test, commission, and maintain protection and control systems for electrical substations, power facilities, and industrial equipment. You will troubleshoot relays, meters, and control circuits, ensuring safe operation and adherence to standards.

The role requires knowledge of relay protection schemes, testing procedures, and wiring diagrams, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical training program in electrical or electronic technology is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with electrical protection and control systems in a utility or industrial environment.
• Proficient understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay logic.
• Familiarity with IEEE, NERC, and ANSI standards related to protection and control.
• Ability to work safely in high-voltage environments and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair protection and control systems.
• Perform testing and calibration of protective relays, transformers, circuit breakers, meters, and related equipment.
• Conduct wiring verification, point-to-point checks, and control circuit testing.
• Perform functional testing of transmission, distribution, transformer, and generator protection schemes.
• Assist with startup, commissioning, and energization activities.
• Accurately document testing results, calibration reports, and field changes.
