Job summary

The P&C Engineering Manager leads a high‑performing protection and control engineering team responsible for scoping, designing, and engineering equipment and protection schemes to expand the electric grid in support of our customers, and to maintain grid safety, reliability, and compliance.

You will be the technical authority and people leader who ensures timely, high‑quality P&C deliverables across projects.

Qualifications

• Ten years of electric utility engineering experience with six years in protection and control systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NERC reliability standards and practical protection implementations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mentor P&C staff; provide career coaching.
• Review protection schematics, relay settings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve design and field issues; ensure quality.
• Lead studies and generate relay setting/configuration files; ASPEN use.
• Ensure compliance with P&C standards and testing procedures.
