Job summary

Entergy is seeking an Engineer II (Trans) in New Orleans to provide protection and control design engineering for transmission substations. The role requires collaboration across multiple teams and troubleshooting AC/DC control circuits and relay logic.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of engineering experience, a degree in engineering (ABET-accredited), and preferably electrical or computer engineering with FE/PE licensure. Willingness to travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Engineer II requires 2–4 years of engineering experience.
• Preferred: Electrical or Computer Engineering degree.
• FE/PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection and control design engineering for transmission substations.
• Coordinate with design and construction to develop project scope and estimates.
• Perform engineering analyses/calculations to support relaying designs.
• Develop relaying design packages based on site visits.
• Create construction drawings using CAD software.
• Prepare relay one-line drawings and validate material quantities.
• Support scheduling with Primavera and manage projects in construction.
• Assist with storm/restoration and travel as needed.
