Qualifications

• Preferred: 2-year technical degree in Electrical or Computer Technology.
• 0 - 2 years of experience without Associates Degree.
• 0 - 1 years of experience with Associates Degree.
• At least 2 - 4 years of experience without Associates Degree.
• At least 1 - 3 years of experience with Associates Degree.
• At least 4 years of experience without Associates Degree.
• At least 3 years of experience with Associates Degree.
• At least 6 years electrical/electronics/metering/controls experience without Associates Degree.
• At least 5 years of experience with Associates Degree.
• Must have switching certification.
• Successful completion of the EEI TECH test.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, replace equipment for protection and operation of substation and distribution systems.
• Relay calibration, relay functional checks, AC testing, CT testing, RTU/SCADA programming.
• Inspect new and existing relay/control installations in substations for correct operation.
• Construct relay panels and control switchboards for new or modified equipment.
• Plan and perform switching operations for substation maintenance.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and annual training.
• Operate a van or light truck safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision.
