Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a P&C Electrician A in Tulsa, OK to support the installation, testing, and maintenance of protection and control devices. You will work under supervision with the goal of safe, reliable power delivery and rapid fault restoration.

You will calibrate devices, assist with trouble diagnosis, operate SCADA systems, and maintain accurate records while complying with safety, NERC, and environmental standards. A 35‑mile residency is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or military equivalent in relevant tech field.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
• PAT (Physical Abilities Test) required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, calibrate protection and control devices and related equipment.
• Assist with diagnosis and repair of equipment and systems.
• Perform tests and operate SCADA and related communications equipment.
• Maintain records, reports and drawings as required.
• Adhere to safety rules and NERC environmental compliance.
