Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology, electronic technology, or related technology field; or equivalent education and/or experience.
• No previous work experience required; must complete Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Weight lifted from floor to waist 60 pounds; carry 50 pounds; lift 30 pounds at chest/eye level.

Responsibilities

• Assist in acceptance and installation tests on protection, control, and measurement devices in stations.
• Test protection & control devices periodically.
• Calibrate protection & control devices on a pre-established schedule.
• Diagnose trouble or damage and assist with corrective action to repair and prevent recurrence.
• Operate a computer to test, calibrate, and retrieve data from protection & control devices.
• Maintain test and automotive equipment and prepare records/drawings.
• Perform switching under direct supervision of qualified personnel.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and operation of new equipment.
• Follow safety rules, environmental compliance, and regulations.
