Job summary

Fillauer in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a skilled Hook Fabrication Specialist to support post-machining, finishing, assembly and quality inspections on prosthetic hooks. You will work hands-on with metal components, ensure durability and performance, and help meet strict quality standards.

The role emphasizes mechanistic fabrication work, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. On-site position with safety-first culture and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or production environment.
• Experience using hand tools and basic shop equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform finishing operations on prosthetic hooks and components, including sanding and grinding.
• Interpret work orders, production schedules, and specifications.
• Meet productivity goals while maintaining quality and safety.
• Record labor and material usage in electronic systems.
• Inspect components to ensure conformance to specs and quality requirements.
• Verify dimensions with measuring tools and testing methods.
• Troubleshoot production issues with supervisors and team members.
• Operate belt sanders, grinders, hydraulic presses, ovens, and related tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
