Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a fabrication technician to work in a hands-on workshop environment, fabricating and repairing orthotic and prosthetic devices.

You will closely collaborate with clinicians and patients, using a variety of hand tools, ensuring accuracy and safety throughout the fabrication process. The role emphasizes manual skills, adherence to physician prescriptions, inventory tasks, and timely delivery of off-the-shelf devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record within policy standards.
• Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices using hand tools.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses such as cervical orthoses and supports.
• Provide education to patients on DME product use, care, and outcomes as instructed by physicians and manufacturers.
• Contact vendors to order fabrication materials and maintain inventory.
