Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Fabrication Technician to fabricate orthoses and prostheses with attention to fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. You will stay current on new fabrication techniques and material properties and use appropriate equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and patient-centered care, with opportunities to train peers and contribute to multiple device streams within orthotics and prosthetics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 1 year related experience.
• Alternative path: 2 years’ experience in O&P environments without a diploma.
• Technical degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, per company standards.
• Occasionally train associates and peers.
• Act as informal team lead within workstream several times per week.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory tasks as assigned.
• Work on 3–4 device types within a general Orthotic or Prosthetic workstream.
• Maintain 5S for a safe, clean, orderly environment.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA training.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

1 year experience in machinery/tools/manufacturing

Technical degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics
