Job summary

Duke University is seeking a Prospect Management Analyst I in Alumni Engagement and Development, Hybrid (On-Site and Remote mix) in Durham, NC. You will collect, analyze, and document data on prospective donors and partner with fundraisers to move donors through the solicitation cycle.

Responsibilities include running prospect management requests, creating reports, supporting strategy meetings, and helping implement a transparent, coordinated program to optimize donor engagement and portfolio

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Typically one year of experience in development research or related field.
Equivalency may be considered.
Strong written and oral communication; Excel/Tableau/SQL valued.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.
Commitment to data integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Process prospect management requests, including individual and bulk inquiries, data corrections, and board clearances.
Grow the prospect pool by analyzing information and producing reports, pyramids, and gift tables.
Explain and recommend activity and assignment using segmentation data.
Support prospect strategy meetings with data to guide next steps and outcomes.
Assist in implementing a comprehensive prospect management program for transparency and coordination.
Contribute to metrics development and tool enhancements for prospect management.
