Job summary

The Prospect Research Coordinator at Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla will strengthen the Advancement team’s ability to identify, qualify, and prioritize prospective donors and organizations who may advance the Museum’s philanthropic and institutional priorities.

This role supports the mission and vision of MCASD through diligent research and collaboration with leadership and frontline fundraisers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years relevant experience or equivalent education.
Strong written and verbal communication, and analytical/research skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with donor management software.

Responsibilities

Identify and research prospective individuals, corporations, and foundations to prioritize donors.
Prepare prospect intelligence, profiles, briefings, and wealth-screening analyses.
Develop prospect modeling and analysis to identify, segment, and prioritize donors.
Coordinate and monitor prospect portfolios with leadership and frontline fundraisers.
Maintain and optimize portfolio data in the Museum’s CRM.
Manage prospect pipelines, track stages, actions, and movement.
Prepare portfolio and pipeline reports for leadership reviews.
Research current/prospective Board members and institutional leaders.
Maintain confidential prospect records and support data integrity.
