Qualifications

  • Automotive repair and troubleshooting experience required.
  • 6 months of setup/installation of test articles and instrumentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of transmission/drive unit internals and related components.
  • Knowledge of test considerations for back-to-back gear testing.
  • Mechanical and fabrication skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Red Viking control software.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently perform setup and teardown of test articles and instrumentation for testing processes.
  • Collect, review, and validate testing data to ensure accuracy and uphold quality standards.
  • Interface with product and testing engineers, providing updates on testing procedures, equipment, and methods.
  • Conduct development and validation testing focused on internal transmission and electric drive unit components.
  • Install instrumentation and perform diagnostics.
  • Develop Standard Work for new and unique testing.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement in testing processes and outcomes.
