Job Summary: We are looking for a high-performing experienced Technician to work in our Propulsion Components Labs located in Pontiac, MI.

Job Responsibilities:

• Efficiently perform setup and teardown of test articles and necessary instrumentation for testing processes
• Collect, meticulously review, and validate testing data to ensure accuracy and uphold quality standards
• Interface with product and testing engineers, providing updates on new testing procedures, equipment, and methods
• Conduct a diverse range of procedural and non-procedural development and validation testing, focusing on internal transmission and electric drive unit component testing
• Install instrumentation and perform diagnostics
• Develop Standard Work for new and unique testing
• Apply problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement in testing processes and outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Automotive repair and troubleshooting experience.
• 6 Months of demonstrated expertise in performing setup and installation of component/subsystem-level testing
• Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills, essential for troubleshooting and continuous improvement
• Proficient comprehension of transmission/drive unit internals and related components
• Demonstrated understanding of test considerations for back-to-back gear testing
• Mechanical and fabrication skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Red Viking control software
• Ability to work in a team setting and independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience measuring and photographing microscopic damage (pitting, eroding, wear...etc.)

Education Requirement: 2-year technical degree (automotive schools are good)

Years of experience: at least 3 years' experience with automotive experience
