Job summary

Fortuna is seeking a seasoned propulsion test engineer to plan, document, and execute hot-fire and cold-flow campaigns for a next‑generation liquid propulsion system. You will own test instrumentation, data acquisition, calibration, and post‑test data reduction, coordinating with engineering and operations to ensure readiness and safety.

Qualifications

• Five+ years hands-on experience in liquid propulsion or rocket-engine testing.
• Experience planning or executing hot-fire and cold-flow tests with test-stand hardware.
• Strong knowledge of sensors, instrumentation, DAQ systems, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, document, and execute hot-fire and cold-flow test campaigns on propulsion stand.
• Own test instrumentation, data acquisition, calibration, and post-test data reduction.
• Develop test plans, readiness criteria, hazard controls, and post-test reports with engineering and operations teams.
• Monitor test performance, identify anomalies, and provide defensible recommendations to propulsion/vehicle teams.
• Support troubleshooting and retesting to verify propulsion-system requirements.
