Divergent is seeking a Staff Propulsion Test Engineer to architect, build, and operate propulsion test infrastructure that accelerates turbo machinery and jet engine development.

You will own end-to-end test capability from an empty test bay to first-fire, designing mechanical structures, integrating high-pressure fluid systems, instrumentation, controls, commissioning the facility, and leading propulsion test campaigns.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing, building, commissioning, and operating propulsion or mechanical test systems.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams during test events.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver fully operational propulsion test stands from concept through commissioning.
• Design structural hardware and fluid systems to meet propulsion testing requirements.
• Coordinate test readiness reviews covering safety, instrumentation, and limits for test events.
• Architect and integrate instrumentation, DAQ, and control systems for high-fidelity test data.
• Lead assembly, first-flow activation, shakedown testing, and safe execution of engine tests.
• Analyze results with Performance Engineering to benchmark engine performance and resolve issues.
• Automate test operations to improve reliability and throughput.
